Hi, I'm new here and exploring options for how to keep track of my unborn baby's movements. I don't want a basic kick counter because that just makes sure the baby kicked the appropriate amount of times in a space of time everyday.
What I want is a graph into which I can input (tally) each kick and record the time of day so that at the end of the day I can see when the baby was most active. I don't know if this is possible because there would be a separate graph for each day and, it appears, inputting a single instance of activity requires the entry of date and time, which is annoying. Is there any way to make a graph that I just push a button and it automatically enters an instance of activity along with recording the time of day automatically? I'm picturing a line graph here. It would give me an idea of when the baby likes to play and when he likes to sleep, which I think would just be fun.
Thank you.

It is possible to do what you want but not as easy as you would like. You will still have to enter a 1 for the number of kicks for every entry and select the time (the date is automatically set to today). But since you are wanting to analyze when the baby is most active, maybe only the hour of the day is important rather than having to type in the actual minute. So then you would only have to pick the hour and am/pm. That covers the data entry part.
For the view of the data that you want, you can still use the main template and add a custom view (an area graph might be nice for what you want) that sums up your kicks (1 per entry) by the times of day you would like (maybe by grouping them into morning, afternoon, evening, etc.) or simply the hour of that day. In this way, by default you would be looking at all of your data (across all days) by time of day so you know on average when the baby is active but then you can use the date filter on your view to zoom into a specific day - of course you could always use a formula filter to only show the current day if that is what you want also.
If that sounds like something you would be interested in let us know and we could help you with the formula and view creation.
Thanks!
