Is there any interest in the community for a developer API? If so, would you prefer a SOAP web service or REST style (XML or JSON) API?

What kinds of activities would you like to perform through the API:

* Download data?
* Upload data entries?
* Create trackers/templates?
* Delete/modify data?

What programming languages do you use?

We're trying to gauge the interest out there to see if this would be something of value to the community.
