Track your cardio and weight workouts using this simple template. For each cardio workout you enter the number of minutes you worked out, your average heart rate, number of calories, and name of the exercise. For weight workouts, you enter the number of reps, weight used, and name of the exercise.

In this template we have provided several built-in views to help you view your progress against your exercise goals. If you also have a weight and/or calorie tracker this would be a great opportunity to graph data from those trackers along with your workouts. Here's some information on the views we defined:

  • Cardio - By Exercise: this simple view shows you a bar graph by exercise, showing you the average number of minutes, calories, and heart rate for each exercise - which can help you see which exercises are giving you the hardest workout
  • Cardio - Calorie Trend: this is a line graph showing you the calories you've expended over time, useful for seeing if you are trending up, down, or maintaining your plan
  • Cardio - Weekly Trend: this combination graph shows you your average minutes per workout on a weekly basis as well as how many days you worked out, which can help you see if you are reaching your goal of working out 3 days a week or more
  • Weekly Workout Trend: this graph plots the number of weight and cardio workout days you've been racking up per week
  • Weights - Power Output: in this graph we attempt to show how "hard" your weight workout was by multiplying the reps by the pounds and then summing that up per day - we realize this is not an exact science but it can give you some guage as to how hard you are working for a specific regimen
